Our international training courses are recognized by the "Associaton for experiential education (AEE/ USA)" for the certification process "Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist (CCAT)".

As soon as certification via the relevant Federal Association for Individual and Experiential Education in Germany (registered association www.be-ep.de), is possible, this will be aimed for. The structure of the training is such, that it would basically comply with the current applicable certification standards of the association (in the area of "training and further education").

It can be assumed that in the next few years a degree recognised by the association will have passed through all the committees.

The certification process in the federation will be two-tiered:

  • The training institute (ATI) can certify itself in the area of "further and continuing education" and thus automatically offers a qualification that meets the currently applicable requirements.  This makes it easier for participants to obtain individual certification from the association.
  • Participants must then be individually certified by the association – by providing evidence and/or proof of an already certified qualification. The title "Adventure Therapist be" is then awarded (individual examination).

Yes, 23 years at the start of the practical training (modules).
We assume that you have reached the age of 25 for certification as an Adventure & Nature Therapist.

Relevant prior knowledge and experience are necessary among the participants in order

  • to be able to compete with other additional therapeutic training and qualifications;
  • to create a clear distinction from experiential education;
  • to be able to teach the contents in a high-quality manner.

The title enables you to apply "Adventure & Nature Therapy" in your professional field according to your previous professional training.

Your personal basic professional training is the basis for how you can use the qualification.

If you have basic psychological or medical training, you can work as an "Adventure and Nature Therapist" within the framework of the medical health professions and corresponding employers (psychosomatic clinics, rehabilitation clinics, psychiatric clinics, etc.) as a "specialist therapist". Depending on the employer, you may offer Adventure & Nature Therapy as a specialist or complementary therapy and be responsible for the case.

As a social service professional, you may only work as an Adventure and Nature Therapist under the supervision of a psychological/medical service. In general, you will work in a multi-professional team.

The "social & health care system" has established "Adventure & Nature therapy" for some years now and advertises jobs accordingly - with an upward trend.

This is exactly where certification becomes an important element for the new professional field and relevant employers.

Certification makes it unmistakably clear that you have acquired a relevant therapeutically oriented additional qualification over and above the obligatory requirements.

You will have to catch up on the module at some point.

Only when participation in ALL modules has been confirmed you will receive a certificate of completion. Max. miss rate 10%.

Yes, participation requirements also apply here, because we do not teach any basics (e.g. in experiential education).
You can book seperatly courses of the training course.

If you have not completed any professional training and/or studies in the field of social and health care, we expect proof of:

  • At least 80 hours (advanced and advanced training in the areas of psychology/pedagogics)
  • At least 240 days (8 hours each) of practical experience within 3-5 years (professional field social and health care)

Education (International groups)

NO - definitely not.

We invite international colleagues, and experts on Adventure & Nature Therapy practice, research, and projects to share their knowledge through online seminars.

That would be desirable. These are specific seminars on special topics in order to focus on a specific diagnostic, treatment, or target group. This means that you should have prior knowledge or specific questions to get the best possible benefit from the seminar.

Example 3x 2-hour specialized seminar on the topic:
"Natural and Adventure Therapy with clients who suffer from an eating disorder"

You already work with patients and have basic knowledge about the different manifestations of the mental health problem and/or experience in working with the clinical picture or the target group. By participating in the in-depth seminar, you would like to optimize your treatment, receive new treatment ideas and enter into a professional exchange with other colleagues.

No, none.

With the theory course, we want to reach many interested people who want to continue their further education. You can also just take part and not take the exam at the end.

You cannot work with theory alone and it takes a lot of practice and practical experience to become active in Adventure and Nature Therapy.

We assume that probably only people with serious interest will invest 2 hours a week for six months ;-)

YES, of course - gladly even.
We are always looking for people who will work with us to advance the topic further.

Please just contact us (preferably by email to info@ati.academy)
As a rule, we start with a 2-hour specialist lecture in order to discuss the technology, the possibilities of online teaching, and the selection of the topic together.

Supervision (International groups)

We offer supervision in the following languages:

English (Alexander Rose)
German (Christiane Thiesen)
Dutch (Per Wijnands)
Spanish (Alexander Rose)
Therefore, the supervision is booked directly in consultation with the supervisor. The price is always the same. The dates are arranged individually. When booking, you decide directly on the language.

NO - during the training, supervision takes place with the focus on "reflection and implementation of what has been learned (the training content) in everyday professional life".

In "normal/classic" supervision, you yourself specify the main topic that you would like to have supervised.

Certification (International groups)

No, participants have to check in their home countries under which conditions they are allowed to work there and whether there are national/regional recognition procedures.

We try to ensure a high standard in the training itself and in the admissions to the degrees so that the different conditions are transparent and comprehensible.

Our international training courses are recognized by the "Associaton for experiential education (AEE/ USA)" for the certification process "Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist (CCAT)".

A colloquium (from the Latin "conversation", "exchange"), is today mostly understood in its meaning as a scientific discussion. In the academic field, it usually means a professional exchange of ideas without a fixed form, in contrast to a seminar, for example.

Es handelt sich um eine mündliche "Verteidigung" einer Fach- und/ oder Abschlussarbeit, mündliche Prüfung/ mündlicher Test im Stil eines Gespräches.

(Wikipedia:https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolloquium accessed on 09.11.2022/ 17:30)

The certification "Adventure & Nature Therapist (ATI)" is carried out in a certification course (in attendance) that has to be booked separately.

The commission in the certification course usually consists of 3 examiners who cover the areas of theory, practice and external assessment with professional expertise.

We made a checklist for you ;-)

Successful completion of the Practitioner, plus .......

We have a checklist for you ;-)

Yes, if you want to achieve one of our degrees e.g. practitioner and/or therapist.

This also applies to psychologists, therapists etc. .

General (International groups)

In Germany, being an "Adventure & Nature Therapist" does not mean that you can automatically bill the health insurance for therapeutic processes. For this, you need a health insurance fund licence (applies in Germany). There are specific requirements and regulations for obtaining a health insurance licence.

Please enquire about the requirements in Germany under the following LINK (german website).

Certification is an important element for the rapidly developing professional field and the relevant employers.

The certification makes it unmistakably clear that, in addition to the obligatory requirements, you have also obtained a relevant therapeutically oriented additional qualification.

Through the training you have theoretical knowledge (56 hours) and well-founded practical knowledge (21 days + SOL + SV) of Adventure & Nature Therapy. This has been professionally tested and you have received individual certificates of participation. You have also been accompanied by colleagues and supervisors during the training.

  • You have already worked in Adventure & Nature Therapy and have proven this with at least 2 case vignettes.
  • You have faced a colloquium*.
  • You are thus able to plan, design and implement Adventure and Nature Therapy processes.
  • You will practically apply "Adventure & Nature Therapy" in your individual professional field.

Depending on your basic professional training, you may take on case responsibility for a therapeutic process.
